Royal Copenhagen Liselund Dinnerware
The Liselund service was created by designer
Diana Holstein and it began production in 2001. Liselund was designed on the
basis of the magnolia shape by the silversmith Flemming Eskildsen, and has its
origin in the round, beautiful and friendly shape of the silver magnolia cutlery
from Georg Jensen. All lids are elegantly decorated with a magnolia bud. Diana
Holstein's inspiration for the decoration were the old country seat, Liselund,
from the 18th century and the colors of nature; light blue like the sky, dark
blue like the sea and golden like the fields of autumn. She took inspiration for
the row of pearls on all rims from the service Flora Danica. This service was
discontinued in the USA in 2007.
