Bing and Grondahl Blue Traditional Dinnerware
Blue Traditional is Bing & Grondahl's
Blue Fluted pattern. When it was first produced it was called "Blue Fluted",
but Royal Copenhagen had the company change the name. The pattern then
became Blue Traditional. It comes in different versions on different forms.
The most popular is made on the scale form, number 356. Seagull and many
other Bing and Grondahl dinnerware patterns were made on this form. The
other form was number 130, which looks just like the Royal Copenhagen Blue
Fluted pattern.
Blue Traditional was also produced in a
hotel version, which is extra heavy, thicker porcelain. Blue Traditional
began production before 1900. Dishwasher, microwave and oven safe.
